Qatar Airways has launched its award-winning Q-suite to Nairobi. The suite launched onboard the state of the art Airbus A350-1000. The game-changing suite is the industry’s First in Business class experience. The suite brings unparalleled comfort to passengers especially those on connecting journeys.
The next-level suite is redefining the dynamics of travel by introducing the first of its kind features. The flexibility of adjustable panels allows travellers to transform their areas redefining how they work, dine and socialize while on transit. The Q-Suite features 46 seats in Business Class and 281 seats in Economy Class. The business class wing has private cabins for up to four people with privacy panels that stow away, allowing passengers in adjoining seats to create their own private room. It also has adjustable panels and movable TV monitors on the centre four seats which allow colleagues, friends or families travelling together to transform their spaces and engage together.
In yet another first, Q-Suite features the industry’s first-ever double bed available in Business Class. The move by Qatar Airways provides the ultimate customisable travel experience. Whether they are travelling for work or leisure, passengers can create an environment that suits their own needs, be it a mini office in the sky or a private candlelit dinner with a loved one.
Qatar Airways Vice-President, Africa Mr.Hendrik Du Preez said that the Q-suite had transformed premium travel by bringing a First-Class experience to the Business Class cabin. He said they look forward to welcoming passengers from Nairobi onboard and beyond to the rapidly expanding network globally.
Its double-daily services to Nairobi from Doha will offer 14 flights per week. The concept is to leverage sustainability and fuel efficiency on Boeing 787-800 Dreamliner aircraft and the Airbus A350-1000. The airline is also adding more frequencies to key hubs thus offering unrivalled connectivity to passengers, making it easy for them to change their travel dates or destination as they need to.
Passengers travelling from Africa can now enjoy revised baggage allowances ranging from 46 Kg for Economy Class split over two pieces and 64 Kg split over two pieces in Business Class. These changes further offer more flexibility and comfort when travelling onboard Qatar Airways.
