If you are frequent traveler in and out of Nairobi via Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, and you know only too well what a menace the Nairobi traffic jam is; then move closer because this post is specially dedicated to you.
Located inside the JKIA on Tower Avenue,Four Points by Sheraton,Nairobi Airport offers the much needed convenience and an ideal stopover for clients and tourists who want to experience some bit relaxation and a taste of Kenya while on the move.
Checking in:
As you drive into the hotel, you can’t help but notice how everything is in place, starting from the beautifully manicured lawns, the rhythmic bubbling of the water fountains at the front porch, proper signage and friendly guards conducting security checks at the main hotel entrance.
The Lobby Bar
I was shown into the lobby bar which was nothing short of class, luxury and art! The wall hangings in this space were carefully chosen and perfectly hang with mirrors after every two to three pictures. It had these cute artsy chandeliers and lounge seats that blended well with the walls and floor.
Shortly after, warm towels were brought followed by a welcome juice. I had not realized how badly I needed something to quench my thirst until that drink happened.
The rooms
The hotel has a total of 172 rooms. The rooms are everything you see in magazines and more. Modern Contemporary designs that span from the luxurious finishing and fittings to the world class beds and bedding, spacious and self contained rooms.
Each room has a 42″ TV set, refreshments; snacks, alcoholic drinks and water. The bathrooms have rain showers, fluffy towels, shiny spotless mirrors, taps, ceramic tops and properly labelled bath consumables that totals to everything you need for an invigorating shower.
Restaurants
The MarketPlace restaurant is the main restaurant located at the ground floor and stretching all the way outside to the lawn. The menu is international cuisine and is open for 24 hours for travelers catching flights at odd times. The restaurant is spacious has huge roof to floor doors that open up to the outside. In addition to the MarketPlace and the Lobby bar, there is Tazama bar and grill located at the roof top.
Rooftop Swimming pool
This by far was my most favorite facility at the hotel.
The pool is clean, stylish and elegant with a breathtaking view of Nairobi National Park. Tazama restaurant and grill is located a few steps to its right..The warm water and glass walls surrounding the pool competes the classy look of the swimming pools. The next time you visit the save some time to go to the swimming pool.
Tazama,The Rooftop Bar and grill
Nothing screams Nairobi at this hotel more than Tazama. There is a typical Kenyan urban script told on the walls of the bar by an impressive graffiti art, depicting life in Nairobi. The colorful art is located at the grilling area of the bar. The restaurant has a lovely view of planes taking off and landing, there is also an island counter at the center of the bar that is used to serve drinks.
Conference Facilities
The hotel can host events and meetings at their conference halls that are named after mountains in Africa. Depending on the clients needs, they can always customize the rooms to fit into the intended plan. Starting from the fluffy carpets and noise proof walls to the larger than life display TVs and the state-of-the-art conferencing facilities, then I can confidently say that this is all a client needs to if they value quality.
Spa and Fitness
Nothing beats a nice soft massage after a long flight and or a session in the gym…yes? Four Points Sheraton Nairobi Airport got your back on this. Their Olakira by Rio Spa is the only place you need to look out for to get the much needed relaxation with their signature treats of Swedish,Thai, deep tissue and Ayurveda massages. In addition to the spa, there is a gym for fitness enthusiasts.
Nairobi National Park
The hotel strategically overlooks the Nairobi National Park, which is a big deal, being the only National Park within a city in the world. Occasionally, wild animals can be spotted from the hotel.
How about you check out the Hotel the next time you are at JKIA?
Important:
The hotel is properly equipped for with people with disabilities.

Thanks for sharing about a beautiful and convenient hotel. My favorite part was the rooftop swimming pool (it was so lovely) and the massage in the fitness center. I can already feel myself relaxing. Great photographs too! Nice work.

I haven’t been to Kenya yet. It’s still on my travel bucket list. Wow this hotel looks amazing ! I like the very spacious room which seems really comfortable (big bed, crisp white sheets, fluffy pillows)… and additionally such a lovely view a spectacular view on the Nairobi National Park ! I’ve seen amazing wildlife during my trip in South Africa and I would definitely love to visit the Nairobi National Park 😉

What an elegant and contemporary hotel! Most airport hotels feel thrown together but it seems every detail has been thought through beautifully at the Four Points. I loved seeing the huge view beyond the grounds. Nairobi must be incredible.

The pool at this hotel looks so great. What a nice escape from the traffic near the airport. Most Four Points Sheratons are very similar in the interior spaces, but it sounds like the hospitality here was top notch.

Such a gorgeous and modern hotel. I can’t believe it’s near an airport because it looks like it is a resort. Love that they brought you warm towels and a welcome juice. It’s the little things like that that make you feel welcomed.

I love how you added so many photos to show the whole feel of the hotel. I’m a visual person and this helped me a lot! I would have to say the best part about the hotel is the spa but then towards the end I read you mentioned it’s suitable for differently abled people which is wonderful. This hotel rocks!
